There is no fixed minimum. A single crate of one lantern size is welcome, and a small order is planned to ride with a larger load so the freight stays fair. Retailers who begin with one line often add the others once they know how the goods move on their street.
We advise writing well before the season turns, since the workshop rows and the drying rack set the pace. A pre-order placed early lets us reserve the lines you want and set an expected week for the crate, so your shelf is cleared and ready in time.
Packed lanterns travel folded and flat to save space on the road. On arrival each one opens in one breath along its ribs, and a full shelf can be hung within the hour. Every piece is checked on our paste table before it is folded into the crate.
